Housing Review: Island Getaway

After my first review of the new Celestia houses. I decided to do another one about the Island Getaway.

This house can be purchased for 100,000 gold or 10,000 crowns.

When you enter the Island Getaway, you will come to a beach, with a path heading to the house, and 2 huts on the right side.

Head up the instructed path to find a nice field of dark grass, go to the right to find a little river to enjoy a nice bath in :)
Go down that river, and you should see a water fall.

Go into the waterfall to find a cave!

In that cave there will be a tunnel, go into it!

There, there will be a nice small room, perfect for meditating!

Down the right, you will come into another tunnel, go to the right and you will see a pedestal!

Not sure why they put a pedestal there, eh, cool concept!

Go the other way and you will find a waterfall!

But wait, turn around, and see the home security system!

Falling boulder! (When it falls on you, it just go through you, but we won't tell any burglars that)
Go up and to the right and go into the house!

It's a wood based house with nice decorations. Across the hall there is another room that looks exactly the same. Go straight, then left and come into the main room!

Nothing really special in there.

2 more things you should know about this house

1. The spiral door, is kinda destroyed :(

2. THERE ARE FISH JUMPING IN THE WATER! HAHA!

Why I am so crazy about that? I'm a crazy person ;)

Overall I would rate it a 10/10
I just think it's a great house!

Housing Review: Celestial Observatory

I have taken the time to do a housing review on the Celestial Observatory house.
This house can be crafted by master and grandmaster artisans only. The recipe can be acquired from the housing turtle in The Celestia Base Camp.

When you enter the Celestial Observatory you will be confronted with debris floating around, no it won't hurt you! Continue down the path you are directed to, this is what it should look like:

Yes, the Celestial Observatory is the second house to have a dueling circle!!!

On your left and right there is a little "Hut" so to speak.
The left one,

Has a moon shape pool in it, perfect for nice spacey (Pun intended) baths!

The right one,

Is more of a meeting area, it has, well, nothing in side.
Now to move into the inside of the house.

This inside is amazing with great astral designs. The first floor is basic with a sun mosaic on the ground .

Move upstairs one level using the teleporter you should find this:

This room is just a starter with small stars on the ground. The thing I love about this house is every floor has a different tile pattern representing that astral school.

Move on to the second floor, this one is the star floor.
It has some great star patterns on the ground, this one is my favorite!

Next up is the sun floor:

This one is basically the same, just with different markings on the ground

Last and not least, the moon floor/observatory!

This one is the last floor which is the observatory, take a look up!

Overall, I would rate this house a 9/10.

Why not a 10/10 you ask? Because there is really no place to put a garden that would make sense, I mean, a garden in space?

Test Realm Open!

The test realm just opened this morning! I haven't got on it yet, but the biggest news, Celestia housing!

This is the Celestial Observatory. It's the one you have to craft, see the turtle in Celestia to get the recipe! (And if I know KI and Celestia crafting, there's probably gonna be a whole lot of sunstone) This one looks SO cool! I can't wait to check it out sometime.

This is The Island Gateway, The second one, which you can purchase for gold or crowns. This one (Too me) doesn't look as good as the observatory, but that's just me.

Gold tips!

I would like to say, when I sent the call out for gold getting suggestions, I Got 2!

First one comes from Alia Lotuspetal:

"Well, I'm actually pretty rich (120,000 gold!) and my way of getting gold is farming Oyotomi the Defiler in the Village of Sorrow in Mooshu. He drops some neat stuff too! (fire symbol boots, storm symbol hat, life symbol hat, balance symbol robe, a sword, etc.) And as a matter of fact, within about 2 hours, I earned 50,000 gold from him!

If that doesn't work, farming the Ravens will get you a lot of gold as well, but they take a little longer. I hope my tips were useful, and good luck earning gold!

~The LotusPetal"

Thanks Alia! I'll be sure to try Oyotomi the Defiler in Mooshu! I could sure use those boots ;)

Second one is from Mason Ironhorn who says:

"I have a few tips...

1. If you have any random low level clothes in your bank, sell em! This wi;ll probally get you a lot of gold. Also, celstia clothes that dont boost your school will get you a lot of gold.

2. Farm farm farm! It is a great way to get gold and school gear you may need. You can check out one of Ironhawks guides on Centrel, find a boss you want to farm for an item you need, and then battle battle battle! Sell all the items you wont use at the bazaar for extra money!

3. This on e is more of a trick then a tip and only gets you a little gold, but still works. create a new character. Skip the tutorial. Go to your dorm. Put everything in your dorm into your shared bank. Go back to the character you need gold on. Sell all house items. Rinse and repeat.

Those are my tips, hope they're helpful!

Mason Ironhorn"

Nice tips Mason! The only thing wrong is that the third one doesn't work. They changed it so that all starter furniture is no trade, but thanks anyway! :-)

Poor? Nah, how about super poor!

So I said earlier I was embarrassed because I only had 14,000 gold. Nah, why stick with poor? How about SUPER POOR? Huh? Like it? I now have only 2,000 gold! Yeah I know, I can't buy anything. (Unless it's a novice robe) Gold tips please!

Okay, Now I need gold.

I have successfully done every thing you can do in wizard101 to waste gold! Bought a new house, Hatched a new pet, Bought gear I never use, Bought TONS of reagents and Housing items (Which I never use), all in all, I went from 100,000 gold to 14,000 gold, I have never been this low since I started the game, I am embarrassed!

Please send me tips on how to make more gold, currently I am just farming the Sharks in Celestia as farms, and it's actually been working out pretty well.
